Reflections on Rose Bay

“Reflections on Rose Bay” is a beautifully curated exhibition of unique stories and artworks showcasing the history of the community in a captivating light display.

The digital light projections were featured across 5 installations from sunset to 10 pm nightly from the 8th to 15th June.

The concept offers a reflective approach to surfacing stories from Rose Bays’ history through an integrated visual experimentation around light, highlighting public and private spaces in the area.

The walking trail spans from Catalina to Collins Avenue, Rose Bay, activating stunning bayside vistas and heritage architecture while giving a euphoric trip down memory lane.  Reflections on Rose Bay incorporates the themes encompassing the Faces of Rose Bay, Reflections on Water, Spirit of Invention, Good Sports and Innovation of Transport.

The inaugural event was the first of its kind in Woollahra and we look forward to this event growing bigger every year.

Chair of the Sydney East Business Chamber, Katherine O’Regan says “Reflections on Rose Bay is a brilliant opportunity to unite and celebrate the past, present, and future of the Rose Bay community. From familiar faces, sailing races, sporting identities and inventions it will be a powerful event that will light up places and lives”.

“Local business is dependent on being part of a thriving local community.  Having Reflections on Rose Bay showcase stories on the buildings, walls and historic sites in and around the Rose Bay shopping precinct is a great way for each and every business to be a part of our community” Mark Gilden, Principle Eastern Suburbs Property Group.

Reflections on Rose Bay is brought to you by the Sydney East Business Chamber, supported by Woollahra Council and sponsored by BMW Sydney Rushcutters Bay & Alexandria and Catalina Rose Bay.
