Advocacy – working for business and the community

Sydney East Business Chamber represents and champions business and community interests to government and industry to ensure our community thrives.

Over more than five decades we have achieved great outcomes for our community through our strong insights, rich knowledge and deep relationships.

We have a track record of delivering improvements for our community from enhancing the streetscape with trees and flowers, advancing footway cleaning, making outdoor dining more attractive, addressing safety and noise concerns and managing waste and waste collection.

Our advocacy work has shaped enhanced lighting in our commercial centres and facilitated community engagement and input on park upgrades, public domain improvements and transport solutions. We have worked to deliver changes to parking, mitigate the impacts of construction and better place taxi ranks and bus stops.

We know that red tape can get in the way of running a business and even slow down starting a new business. That is why we work closely with local and State government to help you navigate approvals.

We have advocated for business tax reform, reductions in energy costs and improvements in the speed and access of online services.
